Perhaps it’s time to rescue the rescuer. Anna Gristina-Gorr and her little son have dedicated their time to saving the lives of animals. Not only does her family have three rescue dogs of their own (“Herm”, “Emily” and “Rosie”), but Anna provided a foster home for the Pig Placement Network. She provided transportation and rehabilitation, including special diets. When pigs placed under her care were ready, Anna screened qualified homes for permanent placement. (for clarification: Anna is not and never been a co-owner of the Pig Placement Network.)
The Pig Placement Network rescues pigs that are homeless or about to be slaughtered. Oftentimes, people buy pigs as pets, but once the novelty wears off, the poor pigs are abandoned. Anna and her organization provide food and healthcare for the animals, and find them loving homes. Without the help of Anna, many animals would be left out in the cold.
